How to make a microblading aftercare card (free)
Healed results are everything in microblading and permanent makeup — and how a client cares for their brows in the first two weeks decides how crisp and even they heal. A printed or textable aftercare card removes the guesswork, protects your retention, and keeps your studio top of mind. This free generator lets any PMU artist build a professional, branded aftercare card in three steps, with no design skills and no template to buy.
Three steps
- Add your details. Type your studio name, artist name, phone, Instagram and website. Upload your logo if you have one.
- Edit the instructions. We pre-fill standard dry-healing aftercare advice. Adjust every line to match your technique and the protocol you use (dry vs. wet healing).
- Download. Pick a business-card or 5×7 size, choose your brand color, then download a print-ready PDF or image to text to clients.
Why every PMU artist should give out aftercare cards
Patchy healing, premature fading and pigment loss are the most common complaints in microblading — and most trace back to aftercare, not the procedure. When clients get the area wet too soon, pick at scabs, or expose fresh brows to sweat and sun, pigment lifts and they assume the work failed. A clear aftercare card sets expectations before they leave, cuts down on “my brows faded” messages, and protects the before-and-after photos your business runs on.
A branded card also looks far more professional than a verbal rundown or a forwarded screenshot. It signals a serious studio that stands behind its results — exactly the artist clients refer and rebook with for touch-ups.
What to include in microblading aftercare instructions
Always match the advice to your own protocol, but most PMU artists cover the same essentials:
First 7–14 days
- Keep the brows clean and dry; blot lymph gently on day one.
- No water, sweat, steam, saunas or hot workouts on the area.
- No makeup, skincare or actives near the brows while healing.
Protecting the pigment
- Never pick, scratch or rub scabs — let them flake naturally.
- Avoid direct sun, tanning and swimming for two weeks.
- Apply only a thin layer of the aftercare balm you recommend, if any.
- Sleep on your back to avoid rubbing the brows on a pillow.
Touch-ups
Most clients need a perfecting session six to eight weeks after the first appointment. Putting that window on the card turns aftercare into a built-in rebooking nudge.
Print them or text them
Print the PDF as standard business cards (3.5×2 in) for every appointment, or as larger 5×7 cards for a premium feel. Prefer paperless? Download the image and send it by text or Instagram DM right after the appointment, while aftercare matters most.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this microblading aftercare card generator really free?
- Yes. Build, download and print cards for free. A small watermark appears on the free version; a one-time Pro unlock removes it and opens all premium styles.
- Does it work for ombré powder brows and other PMU?
- Yes. The instructions are fully editable, so adapt them for microblading, combo or powder brows, lip blush and other permanent makeup.
- Dry healing vs wet healing — which is on the card?
- The default text is a dry-healing routine. Edit any line to match your wet-healing protocol if that’s what you use.
- Can I add my own logo and brand color?
- Yes — upload a PNG or JPG logo and pick your brand color, and the card updates instantly.
